Two Fully Funded PhD Positions for August 2027 Intake
The CWang Lab is recruiting two PhD students for the August 2027 intake. We welcome motivated candidates who have experience in studying aging and neurodegenerative diseases using interdisciplinary approaches in structural biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and multi-omics.
Application Timeline
Applications for the August 2027 intake are open from 1 October 2026 to 15 November 2026. Applicants must meet the official NTU admission requirements and submit their formal application within this period. Please review the NTU PhD programme and application information before applying.
Preferred Background
In addition to meeting NTU’s official admission requirements, preference will be given to Master’s graduates with prior training or research experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electron microscopy, including cryo-EM or cryo-ET
- Biochemistry, molecular biology, or structural biology
- Cell biology, neuroscience, or neurodegeneration
- Protein-lipid interactions or mass spectrometry-based multi-omics
Candidates should be curious, self-motivated, collaborative, and interested in learning across disciplinary boundaries.
Funding and Support
Each position includes:
- Full scholarship support
- A monthly stipend of S$3000+
- Funding for one conference during the PhD, including airfare and accommodation
- Access to advanced research facilities and interdisciplinary mentorship at NTU
